After applying I-485

I have certain questions about name check/ I -485.

1. Is namecheck is random or everybody who apply I-485 need to go through
name check

2. Does travelling on AP will effect my H1-status ? I dont have H1 stamping
on my passport . is that a good idea , i will go to canada and do my stamping
first

3. What are legal requirements such as in status etc. , which i have to fullfill .
and what effect it will have on my i-485 , if i could not able unfortyuantely
full fill the requirements

--------------NO, it is better to keep EAD and valid AP
I dont have H1 stamping
on my passport . is that a good idea , i will go to canada and do my stamping

------------ you can do that and as back up apply for AP and take the AP with you as back up plan
