After 3 years, I-485 Finally Approved !!! (AC21 case)

My case has been finanlly approved. Thanks a lot for all the members in sharing their Inputs and Knowledge.

Changed job < 180 days.

PD: 06/01/1999
RD: 09/18/01
ND: 10/20/01
1 FP: 12/28/01
2 FP: 01/31/04
RFE: 02/21/2003 emplyment letter is required, send AC-21 Letters.
Name Check completed: 09/01/04

AD: 10/20/04 for both.

Can you give us detailes on whether you've been working with senators/congressmen on this? How did you know your name check was done on 09/01/04?

Approval after two years and eight months since RFE??? :confused:
 
Wow! That was a long wait. Congrats :)

This name check thing is scary - they need to have a better process....
 
Yes, contacted senators on Sep 29 2004. I didn't know if they help too much. They told us on Oct 18, 2004, "can not find what happen on your case". We called USCIS (800-375-5283) on Oct 07 2004 as well.

Got an Email from FBI on 09/01/04, "This is in reference to your facsimile dated August 3, 2004, concerning your immigration status. The FBI completed a record check for you today, September 1st, and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services was notified."

Here's a template that I used.

Congrats. Happy for you. I am also in the same boat. My 485 RD is 12/19/01. Replied to 1st RFE on 10/30/2003 and after 1 year again on 10/13/2004 i got another rfe for EVL, Emp Hist since 485 filing, 2 pay stubs, w-2 and tax returns. I hop to reply by end of this week. Mine is now AC-21 case.

Please let me know your employments details compared to your labor certification employment details. Thanks

When you switched jobs within 180 days, who got the RFE, you or your lawyer ? I presume you had your company's lawyer , so if lawyers get the RFEs then how and why would they help you anymore ?? So, how did you get out of this rigmarole ??
Any suggestions/comments would help .
 
The title of the current position "Programmer Analyst " differs from the certified position "Software Engineer", the actual duties are almost identical.

Details:
"This is consistent with the Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2003-04 (OOH) which provides almost identical descriptions of the duties of Programmer Analysts and Software Engineers. See, OOH, Systems Analysts, Computer Scientists and Database Administrators and Computer Software Engineers. ( Software development engineers working in applications … analyze users’ needs and design, create and modify general computer applications software. Programmer Analysts design and update software…)

The current salary substantially exceeds the offered salary in the certified position."

2. My Lawyer
3. The lawyer is my personal lawyer. I heard you may hire a new lawyer anytime, the previous laywer should give all your material to the new lawyer.
