After 130 then what?

Hello everyone,

I am a PR & my spouse is currently non-PR. Luckily she is on her own work permit..

We got married in 2002 & i was under the strong notion that she would get her PR on her own through her organization..

Unfortunately the company that she works for has been going through some turbulent times. She has been moved around over the various groups & with the grace of the "external forces" she has so far been able to keep her position..

Sometime in May '04 we applied for her I-130 & we also got her approval in April '05.

I am not quite sure what the next steps are? Per some of the information available on uscis site, i guess we probably have to wait for a Visa # to become available per site - http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/immvisa.htm

I understand from web site http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_2084.html that the current processing dates for spouses of PR is 01OCT00.

If anyone has a good understanding of the next steps & the process, i would appreciate if someone can send me a note.

I don't know why you are looking at February 2005 bulletin, when it's July already. Here is the link, and the current date for PR spouse is MAY2001:

then you just wait till your dates become current and she gets a visa number. She needs to maintain her non-immigrant status all this time, or leave the US.

If she stays in status, then when the number is current she will be notified and she will be able to apply for adjustment of status. If she is outside the US, she'll apply for an immigrant visa.
