Affidavit of Support

In all official websites, they always mention 'Affidavit of Support' among the requirements, I never saw that they accept bank statements in place of that!

are you sure that bank statements can substitute the 'Affidavit of Support' requirement?
 
Bank statements and proof where the savings came from can be used. My friend used it but was asked where the money came from. She had proof but they still grilled her over the amount. Perhaps it had to do with the high amount at a young age...in the end without being asked she provided a I-134 which she had ready, she presented it and the employee put it in her file and stated "well, we don't have to worry that you become a liability...welcome to the US as a perminent resident!"
 
Affidavit of Support means Bank Statment or I 134 or Job offer that what I underdstand from embassy web site, so you have 3 options to bring to your interview if you don't have any then you can use your education and your work experience to convince co that you will not be a public charge and maybe you can make it, but for sure the best thing to have I 134 with you, but its not a must
 
Do we need separate bank statements for myself and my spouse?
Or just one to cover both?
