Hi,

Can a non-immigrant visa holder (H1B Visa Holder) in the USA support a DV winner?

NOPE!!! You can only do this if only you are residing in the U.S legally..i.e permanent residency or a U.S citizen.

It's not fair! Where can I find a US citizen? I don't have any. I guess I have to think of self-support although it's risky.

if you have enough funds, then it is not that risky as you may think. i showed all my bank statements, property deeds, job letter, and those were enough to proove that i will not be a public charge once i am in US...

hey denniz today i had interview i wrote a new tread on the main page you can read if you want. I dont have a job and in the interview letter it doesn't say anything about sponsor. So just in case my friend's parents became my sponsor but the thing is on my interview the lady didn't even ask about it or bank statement nothing. I just gave the copies and she put the stamp. Maybe i was lucky .

I read that you've done AOS. I guess it would be different if you do CP. I come from Iran but I live in London and my interview will be held in Ankara. I can provide some support docs (saving account, property...) though not sure how much they expect. I think I'll have to do more inevestigation.

oooo wooouwwww I am from Turkey and got my first f1 visa in Ankara:) I say put money as much as you can to your account which will be so helpful. Just prove them you can take care of yourself and or find a sponsor. Good luck
