Affidavit of Support Questions

Hi there,

I have sent the necessary forms to Kentucky Consular Center and I am still waiting for the second notification letter which might come somewhere around 15th of august as I've heard. Now, when those documents arrive, I will have to fill an affidavit of support I-134 form and there I will name my friend on the list. I know that that wont be a problem but will they ask me how I met her on the interview? Since I know her for three or four years and we met online. I suppose that is not a problem? Or if it is, shall I name someone I personally know?

you know whether your friend is really there for you and whether he/s really financially stable enough to give you support through your process
you also need a copy of the sponsor’s passport, employment letter and the latest tax return

Ideally it should be someone you know or have met personally for the sake of safety so to speak. Have you ever met this person you mention face to face? If not then better do what ZukotheCat says and get that person's passport copy, employment status and tax return.

Zuko how's it going buddy?

Just curiously, my aunt has provided me with an I-134 and she's self employed and a US Citizen (she and my uncle have always provided us with an affidavit letter on previous visits to the USA), so would she necessarily need to provide her passport copy? I've got her tax returns which she sent to me with the I-134.

I'd appreciate your insight on this :)

i guess the affidavit of support you got by mail, i mean with the original signature, and original forms not scanned or copy??

I just can't wait to storm off (my holiday), I am totally fed up ...humans ...always in need of something

Yeah she is, I'll send her everything to be filled. They wont ask me how and when I met her or stuff like that? P.S. When could I expect to get the second notification letter? I've sent the documents on May 10th and my case number is pretty low so I figure it should be somewhere by the end of august, right?
 
I cannot say what they will ask, sometimes they do not even ask for anything more than address and invitation letter in which case I-134 and bank statements remain in "your pocket"
 
Affidavit of Support Review (only when reviewed domestically)88$ every person that have an affidavit of support will pay this fee?
