affidavit of support questions, pls help

thank you very much in advance. I really need to know the answers to the following questions. Please take a minute to help me out. I am principal applicant with my wife and son as dependents. I am on H-1B visa.
1. On Form I-864, Part 2., what should I choose? a) I am filing the alien relative petition; b) I am filing an alien worker petition, etc.
2.On part 4, indicate most recent tax year, which year is that? 2000? or 2001? I only have of course 2000 tax return. I guess i need to fill in 2000. In this case, Should I use 2000 or 2001 proverty guidelines charts?

We are on the same boat. Here are what I did.

Part 2, I checked (b)
Most recent tax year: 2000
I used 2001 poverty line.

Hey, are you planning to place any assets on Part 4-F ?
I have not done so, will send the whole out Saturday.

You should file form I-134 not I-864...

if you are filing an employment based (EB-1, EB-2 & EB-3). This form I-134 is much simpler. This is what my lawyer filed and the same for my friends as well.

For an Employment based petition, do we need I-864 as an affidavit for support for my wife OR I-134 is sufficient ?

b Unless your sponsoring employer is a relative, or you own at least 5% of the company, you would not use form I-864 under any circumstances. Use form I-134.
