My aunt through marriage has asked me to sponsor her on the I-134 Form (Affidavit of Support. (I-134)).
"As the sponsor, you must show you have sufficient incomeand/or financial resources to assure that the alien you aresponsoring will not become a public charge while in the United States.
Evidence should consist of copies of any or all of thefollowing documentation listed below that are applicable toyour situation."
My questions:
If I do, fill out the i-134 for my Aunt and 2years from now I want to buy a house or anything of the like, - will it affect my Credit?
If my aunt, ends up filing for unemployment in a year or two - and somehow they allow her to - and then government finds out that they shouldn't have - will the government come looking for ME to pay back the unemployment?
For any old bills that she has Not paid - will I have to pay for them?
Her Kids receive "CHIP, medicare" - will I have to pay this back? If she continues to get this?
For next years taxes - do I file her as a dependant under me?
