I suppose it is depend on the country. Best thing is to ask from your embassy/consular. In Sri Lanka , they have published in their web site ,a list of documents required to bring for the interview and they just ask for a letter from the sponsor.

If you need a format of the letter I can give a draft which was found in this forum uploaded by a previous Sri Lankan winner.

Hello Dear friend

it would be nice if you give me the format of the formal letter, I will appreciate it, but another things, this letter supose to be stamp or something from there? or just hand writing by my sponsor? I will appreciat if there is any one can give me those informations because I am afraid that my sponsor will not give me form i 134, thanks a lot

I-134 is the one and you can't replace it by a personal letter from a sponsor...some people have been asked for a different official form and you will be told by CP or USCIS what they need....but a self written or typed letter won't do as sponsor form.

Again it depends on what is in your own 2nd NL and they state clearly what you need and in what form.
if you follow the rules, you get approved (if you meet the requirements of course lol)
