My sponsor maybe cant fill form I 134 for me, but I am welcome at his house, so is there a way can I explain that for my interview counsolar? I mean can I take formal letter from my sponsor instead of I 134 ?

You need to just look at what your country needs.
I do not see how you can see exactly what other countries need except if you get a 2nd NL from those as well. The rules for applying are set by the US not by different countries and you have 3 ways of showing you won't become a public charge and how you do that is in 3 ways only (or in a combination of 2 or 3).

If you have plenty of personal funds you are fine (you need one of 3, and I-134 is just one of them so if you have personal funds or a job offer you do not need and I-134)

What you can do for housing is ask them to state that they let you live there for a certain time (or indefinitely) and write that in the I-134.
They become a sponsor if they fill out the form. So if they refuse to fill out the form, they are no sponsor of yours as far I know. If so, please explain how they are a sponsor otherwise.

Being welcome at some ones home is not what the affidavit is for. I-134 is asking for savings, assets, etc. in case you become a liability. It is a legal form and necessary due to the economy and many people not being able to get a job and have not much funding.

It is nice to add a letter of your friends stating they are willing to let you stay at their home and it might help a little but USCIS will probably not use it. What if your friends and you get an arguement and you have to leave 2 days later and you have no money....hopefully you will have a great time and experience at their home...but this is looked at as a business deal....you provide the required papers and USCIS will approve you, it is not a nice and warm relationship!

Hello firo,

I would not mention that you will stay at your friend's house; only if the Officer asks you about the address that you declared as your address in the USA. The I-134 is not a legally binding document (as opposed to I-864).

Good luck

I have about 12000 dollars in my account is it enough to satisfy the counsolar office during the interview???? please guys answer me

There is a link for poverty guidelines and it depends on how many people your case is.
But say that you need 15000 and you have 12000 you can have less required if you can stay for a long time at your friends place.
The thing is that they do not want you to become a public charge and so if you have a place to life (for free) when you arrive then you need less money in $$ to be able to get on your feed and find a job.

I did not use this myself but I know that the I134 proved room for a sponsor to offer support in a place to live and or food. Check this option out. Maybe if they do not want to send in the info required to make the i134 you ask them for a letter stating that they offer you to stay there for free for ... time. It will eventually also have to do with the rest of the papers and your education or work experience. If you are likely to get a job faster then they could be accepting this sooner. It all depends on the complete case (and you have little details of it). I would imagine that it also depends ont he county you are interviewing it...as I read many different stories in different countries.

Good luck

Dear jaja 5

thanks a lot for your replay, I really appreciate it, my case that I am from Jordan and I work in Saudi Arabia and my career is Engineering which is fall in zone 5 and my wife she is designer which is fall in zone 4 too and my interview will held in riyadh, and my sponsor is my cousin and sure he will help me a lot, but I feel shame to ask him for this I 134 because I dont want to bother him, maybe asking a letter is easier for me to ask as a formal letter, and another thing I like to ask about, my company is an International Company and they are welling to give me a letter that I am working with them for 4 years and with my basic salary more than 3000 dollar, do you thinka that would help in my case? really I am not welling to be a public charge and I have also new car woth 12000 dollar, Can all that help in my Case?

thanks a lot if you can replay me

I do not know antyhing about zone 4 and 5 in work cases so excuse me for not going into that.
I would built up as much as you can.

Please know that you also can request your cousin to send the I-134 directly to the interview address and they will add it to your case.
That's what I did as that way the facts stay where they need to be and information is safe just where it needs to be.

Do all you can to prove as much as you can, work experience, letters of work (do they employ you in the US once you move, then for sure take an official offer on their official letter head and have them state what you make. That way you can be with the cash and the job offer and do not need an I134. The thing with I-134 is that to have it makes things easier as they can reinforce it once you would become a public charge... bring as much as you can and be confident that you will succeed. You will :-)

Also if you just ask for an official letter offering the staying for a certain time, and everything else, and say they would not accept it, you get another chance to get the I-134 and send it to be added to your case. That you could also do (first see if it works without, and if they want you to add it, ask then and just explain)

Jaja thanks a lot my friend I really appreciate your replay, its really helps a lot, I'll do all the things you asked me for, and I think I can do it, wish me luck guys :)

Than he can easily be your sponsor on the I 134 form if he has enough assets to proof he can support you. You should be fine:)

Thanks guys really you are great, best wishes from Amman :)
I wrote to consula colombo and asked whether I-134 form or just a letter is required for the interview. He confirmed just a simple letter is required. But this is for Sri Lanka. don't know abut the other countries

See below his answer

A simple sponsor letter will be sufficient for DV applicant.
