Hey, I am in the exact same situation as you, did you end up needing to take any further steps to get your H1B activated?

I am currently working outside of the US and don’t have an active immigration status there. Although, i had gotten my h1b petition last year, wondering if I need to reach out to USCIS first?

I do not plan to make H1B outside, so be careful with my opinion. But…I think that, you should just make a photocopy of the very first letter that you’re not subject + keep the original letter for the embassy interview + print out that E-mail as a proof that you asked system twice and got the same answer.
