You can INFOPASS your DO and they will stamp your passport if you present your case well. You might have your card by the 17th anyways..

I received 2 emails (07/31/07 Card production ordered) first, and then welcome letter sent 08/01/07.
Do you guys think that I can plan to travel on Aug 17??
Will I have my green card by then???
If i received my welcome letter in the mail can I stamp my passaport and travel???
