My H1B just got approved and I am planning to get married in January 2005. My fiancee is a Malaysia citizen and I am getting married in Malaysia. I would like to bring my wife in the US on H4. So, in my case both of us have to get the stamp.
I am travelling to Malaysia first. So I would like to know that are the chances of me getting H1 stamp in Mumbai better than Malaysia ? I mean, is it risky for me to apply for the H1 stamp in Malaysia ?
I read in the forums that recently H4 was issued without H1B holder having the visa stamp. So if I plan to get my H1B stamp from Mumbai, can my wife apply for H4 in Malaysia before I get my H1 stamp? I mean is it okay if she applies for H4 stamp in Malaysia and I take the H1B stamp a week later in Mumbai ?
I really need some advice and would greatly appreciate any help.
