Hi All,
I have questions regarding education requirement and job experience for elderly DV winner.
a) For example, if my father won the DV - (He is his 60s now and plans to retire this year). He completed high school in the late 1950s. But somehow, he lost his high school certificate. How can my father prove to the consular that he already completed secondary or 12 years education. (Note - It is hard for him to go back and get an original high school leaving certificate.)
b) Continuing from above, my father is currently a small business owner in distributing sweets. I have searched the O*Net online and it seems that my father does not qualified under Job Zone 4 or 5, classified in a Specific Vocational Preparation (SVP) range of 7.0 or higher based on "Sales Representatives, Wholesale and Manufacturing, Except Technical and Scientific Products".
How is my father going to qualify under job experience?
c) what if my father retired from his small business, how can he prove he meets the requirements set under DV?
Can anyone share with me if any of your elderly parents or relatives been successful on the DV interview and obtain the green card?
Appreciate. Thanks!
Lastly, all the best for DV season 2009 applicants!!! The results are pouring in now...
Sincerely,
GuyinSH
