Advise Needed

I have completed 7 months since my 485 is filed(Recvd. Date) and
have an EAD. Finger printing completed. Last couple of weeks I am on bench, my company has in the past laid off people after a month or so. Now, I found a job with a new company. Will there be a porblem, if I join this new company while going on vacation with the first company. If my GC sponsoring company finds a project meanwhile and if I do not join the project, can they create any problems(like withdrawing 140 or GC application .

Join the new employer, if it is a good (lasting) project

Employer has no control on I-485 once it is past 180 days.

You can safely join the other company. If your original employer lays you off after getting a GC, then you are lucky - There is no fraud on your side.... meaning you did not ditch the company after getting GC.
