Advice needed--2nd FP Notification

gaidahan

Registered Users (C)
I received fingerprint notification last December and already went to the appointment and got it done on 1/10. The California Service Center Automated Voice Machine has this message on my case: "...the results of your fingerprints review were received and the processing on your application has resumed..." But now, my attorney received another fingerprint notification for me. New FP appointment date is next week. I am not sure if I shall do the fingerprint one more time since it may add more confusion when the results are sent again to INS. Anybody knows what I shall do about this 2nd FP notice? The immigration specialist in my company told me she saw some other cases like this recently. And anybody else on this board received a second FP notice like this? Thanks for any advice in advance!

The AVM is a general message system.

This is updated I feel by a pull down menu on the officer\'s screen and also by processes. This system is in parallel to other systems.

I feel that in case of conflict the view of the attorney is the best viewpoint to be used.

Please do as your attorney says.

Do not expect to get confirmation from all systems (AVM,IIO,Notice,Attorney)

Send the atorney an email explaining how you feel and let him decide on the next course of action.

gaidahan,

What are your case details? If you are in the July, Aug or Sep RD timeframe you stand a good chance of being approved in the next month. I am guessing that your 2nd FP scheduled date is about a month away. If you get approval before then, nothing to worry. Even If you do not get approved before then, you can wait for 84 days after the scheduled date to complete the FP appointment. It is strange that you got a 2nd FP notice. That used to be a vestige of the past where the old system used to do crazy things. But with the new National FP scheduling system there have not been too many cases reported on this CSC board. The TSC board had some problem with their software. Apparently, it was sending out FP notices out of turn and seemingly at random.
Anyway, consult your attorney and follow their advise. Usually, attorneys play defensively, so you may be told to go for FP again. If so, If I were in the same situation I would not do it early. If you have to, wait for your scheduled appointment date. My 2 cents.

Thanks rsrgc, but...

Some advice from my attorney is really what I want to hear most. But our company policy does not even allow us to directly communicate to our attorneys. All communication has to be relayed by our HR immigration specialist. And I have sent messages to my immigration specialist since yesterday. Usually it take days before anything is heard from our attorny--my messages waits for days at each hop, that is. Take filing my I-140, I-484 as examples, I rushed to get the package ready in days, then they would wait in our Relocation Department for a week, then on the attorney\'s desk for many weeks before really filed. That has been the life of us within a big comapny...

Thanks Dee Rod, my detail is

RD 6/1, ND 8/7, WAC-01-251. This second FP may be exactly the reason why my case was not moving, right? If that\'s true, I probably should just do the FP again to get the files movning, don\'t you think?

second fp

is sometimes done if the quality of fp is not correct.

FP is done so that FBI can classify and compare and check it against known criminals -
To ensure quality A QA person checks after the operator takes the prints. This reduces the problems but does not entirely eliminate the problems.

Now in your case the prints that were taken must have been sent to FBI and rejected by them or the report which was sent by FBI to CSC was misplaced or the printout which was taken by CSC and should have reached your file was misplaced.

Now when CSC has issued you a second notice, I would go for fp before schedule and get it over with.

I would not worry about what would happen if I did the fp before time. Many people have done fp before schedule and this has helped their case.

Regarding the disconnect between AVM and your notice - AVM is not
100 percent correct.

Go For it and get your fp done before schedule and hopefully you will get approval within 4 weeks or max 8 weeks.

to gaidahan.......FP notice !!!!

the first thing that you have to find out is , if this FP notice is a duplicate notice or another new scheduled FP notice.if it\'s a duplicate notice and it is not 90 days after you did your finger print I\'m sure your gonna be O.K., to verify if it\'s a duplicate FP receipt call this number 949-389-3484.And if this is a new re-scheduled FP notice sometimes this are the reasons..1)computer glitches uploading or dowloading information from one computer to another.(2)officer re-scheduled notice if they can\'t find applicant\'s record in the system (3)non -identifiable finger print results are obtained.(4)FP expires (5)no record can be found that the applicant was scheduled for FP..just follow the instruction if this is a new FP notice...hope I could help a little bit....

Hello gaidahan - me same boat

RD 04/11 ND 05/15 WAC 184 FP 11/21
Just recieved FP notices and from ur explanations about attorney-> HR immigration -> u looks like we work for same company
anyway, thats not important Let me know what u r goin to do about FP early or on date Thanks

Cheers

Yes, gaidahan,

Does your FP notice in anyway indicate that it is a re-do notice. I think that a re-do notice would specify that. If it is a re-do notice, do your FP\'s right away and watch your FP results like a hawk to ensure that each finger returns a successful print. If it is just a duplicate notice, then really you can go either way. I have seen folks who have ignored the second notice and gotten approved. Also there have been folks who went at the earliest and redone their FP and then gotten approved. If your FP notice does not tell you it is a re-do notice you may want to talk to an IIO and confirm that your first FP results are okay and discuss your situation with them.
Again, to be on the safe side, go with your attorneys advise however defensive that may sound. But do call an IIO first and let us know.

gaidahan, usually FP re-do notices...

are sent off even before the case is assigned to the officer. The clerical/contract staff identify cases that FBI returned as unclassifiable and generate re-do notices for them. Your case is old enough to have been assigned already. When did you do your first FP, when was it scheduled for, what were the dates of "pending review" and "processing resumed" AVM messages. Let me know the FP related details.

The attorney recommended not to follow the FP notice

My immigration specialist told me that the attorney recommended that. I just tried the phone number provided in the message of lighthouse. There was nobody answering the phone and no answering machine. I will go to our immigration dpt to pick up the notice now. When I get that I will see more detail. I still have not fully convinced myself what I should do. And I have not been able to get though the 9498318427 phone line and talk to an IIO yet.

There you go. It sounds like...

it is indeed a duplicate notice. Probably a glitch in the FP scheduling system. Curious to find out what you see oon the FP notice.

Dee Rod

This notice was issued on 3/20 and the appointment date is 4/22. Remember my fisrt FP Notice was for 1/10 and I did it on 1/10. Does this still make this 2nd notice a duplicate notice? Thanks.

Just a though, not advice! What if you do FP again. should that be a problem? will it delay processi

n2201

a co-worker of my wife had a little duplication in her file and caused INS to simply put it a side because it "looked too confusing". Luckily their attorney was very much on top of it and investigated and found out that the duplication caused the application to be set aside and fixed it from there. Simply put, if I following the FP notice and the finger print results were sent again to INS, it might add "confusion" and cause the case to be avoided and then delayed and then forgotten... all pure speculation...

Application Number on the FP notice

On the FP notice I received in December, the Application Number (the beginning of the 3rd line on the notice)was FPS*0016xxxxx. And the next 2 cells were RD and PD.
On the 2nd one I just received, Application number became WAC01251XXXXX. And the 2 cells following that became Blank Cell and SERVICE CENTER WSC.
Wondering what this tells us. And what is WSC (the service center)?
What does the Application Number look like on your FP notice?
Thanks!

485gang, do your plan to go ahead and do the 2nd FP? I have decided to wait.

FP is valide for 15months, more than 1 sources have confirmed that. I will wait a few weeks before I decide otherwise. I also think we work for the same company. My immigration specialist is K.D.. She is quite responsive. But about special cases like ours, there is not much she can do. Let\'s keep each other updated.

I would suggest redoing the FP

Hi,

I don\'t see any harm in re-doing the notice. Now the system may have re-issued the notice, either something did not go into the system correctly or FBI rejected the results. There is more harm in not doing FP than doing FP, so I would suggest you to do it. The same was suggested by Sheela Murthy once in her newsletter.
