Hi there!..

so I was selected for the 2014 lottery!! I am currently living in Italy with a working permit and I sent all the documents to be interview here. Now the problem is that according to the VISA bulletin my number SA 000008XX should undergo through the process at least on February (2014), but my permit to stay in Italy will expire in November (2013). Can I ask USCIS to change my interview to my home country? since I will probably have to move there for few months while I am waiting for the GC. Is this a problem?

Need advice!!! thanks!!

Yes you will be able to submit a new set of forms (DSP-122 and 230) to say which consular office you would like to be interviewed. Given the timing, you should be able to submit the forms in September/October in anticipation of your move out of Italy, and that will be well ahead of the notification for the interview.

Thanks!

I still wonder... I already sent the documents (DSP-122 and 230) asking to be interview in Italy. Should I call USCIS and let them know that I won't be in Italy anymore? and then they will ask for the new forms? or Should I wait for any sort of notification before starting the "moving" of appointments?

Sorry but I am a little confuse

Thanks

You can correct the forms by sending a new set any time before they get to your case number, and those forms will replace the old ones. If you wait until they notify you, you will introduce a delay into the process yourself by asking for a new appointment and so on. In fact they may already have sent the forms to the consular office in Italy meaning a delay while they get the forms back and send them somewhere else - not wise at all. Call them if you like to confirm the approach, but I'm sure they will say the same....

If you have relocated and wish to attend your interview at a different embassy, you must provide KCC with your former address and your new physical address (P O Boxes and In Care of Addresses do not justify a change of embassy) to prove your residency in that country. If your interview has already been scheduled, you must contact the embassy to determine if your case can be transferred to a different embassy.

Selected for further processing...Need advice and help !!

Sry, wanted to post a thread

I don't think so. The DVlottery application (is pregressed beyond selection) shows intent to immigrate to the US - so that can affect some types of visas such as J1, but that is the reverse of your case, and no I can't see how the withdrawn J1 can affect you.
