Advice/K1 holder

Hello
My Visa k1 was aproved 2 weeks ago in colombia.(through the US consulate). I am supouse to travel to US ASAP.

Yesterday my fiance,got promoted to work outside of US. I am wondering the procedure with inmigration in order to travel with her and stay with herin her new country(guatemala) where she is going to work the next 2years.

Im colombian, she is american.

I need to know after our marriage in USA, how long is it going to take me to join her in guatemala, what is the process for this?. Or should I marry her here in colombia, wait for my Green card here inColombia? or if I marry her in colombia and travel as a colombian citizen to guatemala and travel back and foward between guatemala and colombia until I receivemy GC?

Or It is an obligation to travel to US since i am k1 visa holder.?

You can let your K-1 expire and not travel to the US. Once your fiancee' is almost done with her 2 year posting, then she can apply for your immigrant visa.
