my husband (us citizen) and i (canadian citizen) are planning to file our petition this summer and i have some questions i can't seem to find answers to. 1. According to the fees the petition and application both say 355$, i wanted to know if they r the same fee or separate fees of the same value. 2. Can anyone tell me approximately the cost of the medical in toronto? 3. Is there anyway to get financial help somewhere for the fees? 4. Will I be able to visit my husband while the petition/application is pending? 5. When is the petition fee due? When you send in the papers? Guess that's all for now lol, any information is appreciated ty

A1: Add up the total for all the forms you need to submit. It is more than $355.
A2: I did my medical way back in 2002 in Toronto. Cost me CAD $200 then.
A3: No fee assistance, unless someone is charitable to give that money to you and your husband. Your husband will have to assure the US government that you will not be a burden on the welfare system. He will need to meet a minimum financial criteria.
A4: Most likely. However you may also be denied entry into the US as a visitor. So be prepared for that.
A5: The payment goes when the forms are mailed in.

yes i know all the forms but i was only asking if the application fee and petition fee were sepperate or the same because they r the same amount, ty, and in response to concerned4us, i intend to WORK for a living and i unless u can b helpful mayb u shouldn't answer ppl because i'm not going to give up and walk away from the person i love because of costs..........

If you are worried about costs, I would advise you not to go down the K-3 route. Go straight for a CR1/IR1 immigrant visa.
