Advanced Degree H1B

Hi,

I currently hold a H1B (65,000 cap) with an american IT company. I started about 5 1/2 years ago with this kind of sponsorship. Last year I received my masters in computing.
I would like to know if I change employers and apply for the Advanced Degree H1B (20,000 cap) my visa time will be renewed, or reinitialized with an extra 3 year period (considering my current visa expires Dez 2006), or I will still keep the remaining few months until Dez 2006?

Your present MS will not help you now.
You can only use 20,000 cap if you want to apply fresh H1 after stayed one year away from US.

Otherwise you can extend your h1 with new sponser in one year increment provided you have any pening LC aged atleast one year with any sponser.
