Can i send it to INS Vermont Service Center since i got EAD from that office?

Can i send it in normal US mail?

you have to send it to the office where your 485 is applied. I sent it to Vermont on last Friday. You can use US postal service. I send it thru priority mail, you can also use express mail, if you want to.
Usually it is taking 2 months, but if 90 days have passed and you didn't recieve your ap, you can go to local office and get a interim ap, i guess. That's why applying 90 days before you go will be good.
Hope this helps. . .

gcgcgc,

Did you send a separte sheet of paper explaining how you qualify for AP as said in I-131 form???

please let me know

Thanks in advance

Is AP valid for one travel out of the US only or I can use it for multiple travels whenever I want (same as H1-B) ? How long is AP valid ?

AP

But, don't use it too often, It is only for emergency travel, Also when you are out of the country you application will not be taken up for processing.

Can I use it to go out of the country for up to 1 weeks several times a year ? What if have to travel overseas on business ?

NO Interm AP

Mr. gcgcgcgc:

Did you get your receipt notices OR checks cleared for your AP petition filed in VSC ?

I filed in VSC at the same time as u did, so be in touch for further contacts...

Also, there is one thing you mentioned in your message, you said 'One can apply for interim AP at LOCAL BCIS Office after 90 days if it hasn't been approved from service center'. I think this rule only applies to EAD's but not for AP petitions.. unless you have a EMEREGENCY situations provided under the guide lines of BCIS

See the following link for AP Info:

This is a statement I've seen a number of times on the board in recent days. And I challenge everyone who makes it to back it up.

For what it's worth, I am an individual with a pending I-485 who can leave and re-enter the US without AP or a passport visa. I don't even need to surrender my I-94 (and I usually don't). There's no way on Earth that BCIS knows when I am out of the country.

Second, I read the I-485 processing SOP document that was posted here several months ago. I can assure you that NOTHING in this document indicates to ajudicators that they should determine if the I-485 beneficiary is in the United States, or if they are not that no action should be taken.
