Hi.
If you leave US while AP is pending and gets approved before returning back, can you use it to enter into US at a port of entry?

No. You cannot use AP to re-enter if you leave US before it gets approved. I asked the same question to my Attorney. She gave me the above answer.

First of all you can not leave USA while your AP is pending till you get the receipt. Assuming that you got recipt you can leave USA but you can not use AP while coming back if approved meanwhile.

How long does it take to get the AP approval? I am asking this since I need to travel in the last week of Nov and I want to book the tickets now.

I filed AP and EAD in NSC. ND for both is 5/18/2007. EAD was approved on 8/10/2007, but no word on AP approval as yet. I have to cancel my flight ticket (8/15) and now waiting for AP approval. Anyone filed AP in NSC before/on 5/18/2007 are still waiting?
