Advance parole, urgent

Hi,

I have got myI-485 approved and i have already gone for my
finger printing. Now i have to travel to India this december 1
due to an emergency. I tried applying for advance parole but
it is taking nearly a month to get one.
So I am trying to find out if i can apply for an AP outside
of the US or if my husband can apply for an AP for me in the
US, while i am in India.
I am also expecting my GC approval letter any day
Can i get back to US the one issue
is that my H4 has expired and my husband has already got his
GC.

I think it's kind of risky to apply for AP when you are not in the country. If there are delays, you won't be able to come back in so soon. I would suggest that if it's an emergency, go to local office and really try and plead. I know it's a long shot but worth a try.
 
1. Don’t leave without AP in your hands, you have to apply AP in US before departure and you should have it before you leave.

Try with Local INS office they may issue you AP based on your reasons for urgent travel or take the help of Lawyer they can draft the request letter better

Don’t take the risk to go without AP; your I-485 may be abandoned
 
Temporary AP

You could apply temporary AP though local INS office. However you need a doctor's letter to describe the emergency situation. INS only consider issueing emergency AP for life threatening and death of direct family member cases.

Don't ever go out of county without valid document. You will be in big risk.
