Hi Gurus!
I am applying for AP? (485 was applied in 9/21/02, no approval yet). Do I need to submit a letter proving that there is an emergency for which I need to go? I keep hearing conflicting opinions about this.

Yes,from my experience you have to.

If its emergency u have to provide some letters from doctors etc.

if its normal visist, u should have a letter stating why u are applying for AP.

Anyway verify from others too....

If it is not an emergency then just stating in a letter that we want to go and meet our family do? Doesn't look like a convincing reason!

Have you applied for AP? What type of letter did you send?
