Advance Parole - need help

I need help in determining when to apply AP. We will be applying I-485 in Jan-2002. My H1B is valid upto Oct-2002. I planning to go to India for a month during mid-may to mid-june. Do I need to apply AP for that - since I will have 4 and half month to expire my H1B ??

You do not need a AP until the day after H1 expiry.
If you are planning to use EAD, it will be safer to apply for EAD and AP 3 months before H1 expiry.
