Hi all,
My wife got her advance parole in 3 weeks by applying at the San Jose District Office instead of california Service Center. She got a letter from San Jose BCIS that her advance parole application has been approved and she has to appear in person to collect it. When she went there today, they asked for ID and gave the parole document. Applied on March 3 2004 and got approval on March 24th 2004.

I hope this helps everybody seeking a parole.

Thanks

WAC-02-132-XXXXX
Receipt Date: April 2002

Where is AOS pending? In CSC or San Jose DO?

And how come you have WAC-02-132 with receipt date in April when I have WAC-02-136 with receipt date in March?

Because WAC number is based on notice date.

I too have a similar question.

My AP is pending at VSC. Recently I moved to Bay Area. I don't know if i can try at San Jose district office.

Plz post ur details. It would be very helpful. Thnx.

Where is ur wife's I485 pending?
Did u send in regular application by mail? Was there any emergency reason given? If emergency reason, did u provide any supporting documents?
For how long was the AP issued?

On the "Notice of Action" there are two dates only: "Received Date" and "Notice Date". Some people are using the words "Receipt Date". I understand it as the same as "Notice Date".
And, yes, you are correct: WAC number is based on "Notice Date" which is the latest date. And it definitely is something wrong if ND in April matches WAC# 132 when my ND in March matches WAC# 136.

Could be end of March and Beginning April???

Hi all,
My wife's AOS is pending at the California service center. All I did was send the following documents:(I referred to this forum to send the documents. The letter is same format as in the forum).
1. 485 receipt.
2. Letter(No Emergency mentioned )
3. Marriage Cretificate,
4. Copy of I-94
5. Copy of all pages of passport
6. I-131 filled
7. 2 ADIT photos

I applied to San Jose office, the reason being the place where I stay comes under that office jurisdication.

The receipt date is end of march / beginning of april. I dont knwo the exact date.

Thanks

DLA,
The advance parole was given for 1 year multiple entry
I sent the documents by regular mail.

D_Nayak,

Thanks for sharing this information about local filing of AP. It's always good to see something on a postive note from USCIS.

Likely this is the reason that your wife was called to appear in person.
