I got the Advance Parole from Boston INS on Friday after filing
for it with I-485 and got no response since July 01.
Here are the details:
I arrived at 11:40 am. The line to get a ticket was short (3 people in front of me).
I got a ticket, numbered 678. I entered the room. The room was full.
There were only 2 booths processing Adjudications from a total of 15.
There were 3 other queues (Information, Applications, and Card Replacement).
When I arrived, my queue was at number 660.
Ten minutes after I arrived, they stopped giving tickets.
When I entered the INS room I found out they have a place, next to the
cashier,
where you can pay $10 (cash only) and get two pictures taken and delivered
in 5 minutes.
The Adjudication queue went very slow. Meanwhile I went to lunch
in the cafeteria. My turn came at 3:30 pm.
The lady officer took my application, she didn\'t care much about all the
copies I had.
She asked about a copy of the "H". I think it was included in there.
I also had my passport and EAD. She briefly looked at them. She took the application and the check,
stapled the pictures to the application and said she will call me in 15
minutes.
I was the last one for Adjudications that day. The whole room was also almost
empty at that time.
She came back 5 minutes later and called me to the booth. She handed me 2
papers and
said I\'m all set. They are multiple entry parole to enter the US valid for
one year.
She also said if I travel more that two times they can keep stamping the
last paper.
I left by 3:40 pm. So it took a total of 4 hours.
I hope this info helps.
