advance parole expiry

We have applied for our g.c. Our advance parole is expiring on the 07/06/07. We want to travel to India and return in August. We will be applying next week...my question is whether time required for renewal of the document is uncertain too? We have 4 months in hand. Please help if you have any experience with renewal? Thanks....

apply AP now and then go AFTER you get new AP approved in hand, it takes about 3-4 months for AP approval(if no RFE and send all the eligiblity documents, Photographs , correct fee with AP applications)
