Advance Parole end date

Hello,

I have my I-485 pending which I concurrently applied with I-140 which is also
pending. I used Advance Parole (AP) to return to US today. On the AP, they
stamped "parole until 20 may 2009". Does this mean I have to leave use by
May 20 2009?

Kindly give me some advice,
Thanks,
Mitul

It means you cannot use it after May 20, 2009 to reenter the US but as long as you stay in the US you're fine.
You don't have to leave and are in good status unless your 140/485 gets denied.

No, you can use your Advanced Parole document any time the document itself is valid (as long as it is valid for multiple entries). The date stamped on the document is a standard stamp and does not extend the validity of your AP document for travel purposes. As long as your I-485 is pending, the date stamped can be safely ignored and will not interfere with your legal presence in the US at all.

Sorry, I didn't read the post correctly and thought that the AP document was valid till May 20, 2009.

Kindly Confirm

Thank you all for your time & replies!!

Just one more clarification (i know its stupid):

They also stamped the i-94 with "paroled until 20 may 2009".
I hope I dont have to leave the US after 20 May 2009 (and can
ignore this stamp on i-94), if my i-485 is
still pending. Kindly Confirm.

Many Thanks!!

We already covered this, as it is your original question. No, you don't have to leave the US if your I-485 is still pending after 5/20/09. Yes, you can ignore that date if your I-485 is still pending. As long as your I-485 is still pending, you are legally present in the US regardless of any dates on your I-94.
