I have heard that one can apply for AP at local office even though the 485 is pending at the Service Center. Has anyone applied to Newark, NJ in a non-emergency situation and got the AP?

--- where you have heard this???? you have to file AP with service center where I-485 is pending

----- No they will not approve AP , only emergency cased with proof of emergency
