Hi,
My wife and kids returned from India on Advance Parole. Their APs would expire on Nov 26, 2006. But at port of entry their passports and I-94s have been stamped with Paroled till Sept 17, 2007. Does that mean their APs have been extended till Sept 17, 2007? Or should we renew APs once they expire as per original date Nov 26, 2006.

Thanks,
Vinod

NO, NO, NO, NO and NO!!!!!

Sorry, but this same question gets asked again and again. There is a very clear expiry date printed on your AP, and this never changes. If this isn't clear enough, think of how you would interpret it if it was your passport rather than AP - would you think that the date on some stamp in your passport overrode the printed passport expiry date?

(The really sad thing is that someone posted here whose attorney had made this fundamental mistake too.)

----------------- file for New AP, AP approval takes 3-4 months
Thanks,
