I have a lawyer to prepare my I-485 forms. He wrote down the address of his law firm under my name on the first page of my I-485. He said this is a common practice to ensure that all documents will be received safely. However, that address is not on my G-325A at all and I've never lived in that city. Is this going to be a problem? should I insist to have my real address on the 485 form?

I have a lawyer to prepare my I-485 forms. He wrote down the address of his law firm under my name on the first page of my I-485.

On I-485 form Part 1 should have your FAMILY NAME, GIVEN NAME, Middle name and in Second, third, fourth line YOUR HOME ADDRESS not lawyer address.

The lawyer also wrote down his address under my name in G-28, i-131 and i-765. he said this is to ensure all documents be received safely (esp. considering I'll move to another state in 3 months). However, I felt uncomfortable about this. And is it true that the lawyer will receive duplicate copies of most of my 485 notices (receipt, FP) anyway?
-------------------- It seems to me that this lawyer is your employer lawyer. do you suspect that he is doing this by mistake or same Instructions from employer to mess your I-485, EAD and AP. you can file directly I-485, EAD AP or better hire Your Lawyer.The lawyer also wrote down his address under my name in G-28, i-131 and i-765.
--------------- you have to write YOUR name on I-131, I-765 forms and your address, on G28 it has to be your name. file the I-485, EAD AP through new lawyer or let him correct all the info. it seems he/she is very bad lawyer and better not to take his her services.

sorry for being unclear. the names on 485, EAD and AP forms are MY names. but the addresses under those names are written as my lawyer's address.
This is not my employer's lawyer. My employer did I-140 for me but won't do 485. So I find this lawyer through a friend.

FYI the G325 goes for Security check to FBI and other agencies it should have YOUR address and I-485 form should have YOUR address(if your HOME address on G325A and on I-485 dont match may be delay in background check) why the lawyer is writing his address. tell him to write YOUR address under your name
This is not my employer's lawyer. My employer did I-140 for me but won't do 485.
So I find this lawyer through a friend
----Change that lawyer and take your papers back. dont take the services of lawyer who does not fill up forms correctly and will not be of any help if problem in future.
