Just AR11 is not sufficient to make change of address. You have to call the 1-800 number and let them know your change of address and again you should give them all the reciept numbers.

GC7 ,

Is that done by the lawyer ? or do we have to do it ourself . Do we get any kind of confirmation after this is done ?.

Change of address

It is beneficiary's responsibilty to inform INS the change of address. I just sent AR11 form alone. After about a month, I received another I485 receipt with new address. So I think AR11 alone is enough, though it doesn't hurt to call and confirm.

All my receipt numbers have my Lawyers address in it . I guess all my documents first go to my lawyer before reaching me .

Does any one have this issue .. In that case if we change the address then apart from sensing the R 11 form do we have to do anything else .

Thanks,
Rotny

I did it last month when my lawyer told me to do on my own. I called the 800 number then they took all the information after 1 month they have sent me the confirmation letters saying that the address has been changed. When you talk to the customer service you should be patient because they take hell lot of time.
