Address change question.

Hello All,
I am getting my GC sponsored as a future employee.

Currently H1b and GC process have address in Houston,Tx. I got a project in Austin TX and I am moving out of Houston. Due to the nature of my job, I will be changing the address every now and then. So I was wondering if I could give a address of a friend of mine,who stays in California , for 'GC Process '. This way I don't have to update the address every now and then.
Simply put can H1b have a different address and GC process have a different address.

Please let me know.
