Updated 07/11/2002: Alarm! Alien Faces Deportation For Failure to Report Address Change in Atlanta
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports on July 10, 2002 that the INS brought an alien to the immigration court to enforce this provision in the immigration statute and the alien faces deportation now.
This website has reminded readers of the importance of compliance with the legal requirement to carry a legal-status document with him/her all the time and to report address change within 10 days by mailing form AR-11. Since these legal provisions have not been enforced, people have ignored our advisory. Such ignorance must have been particularly noticeable among male aliens relating to their male macho-ego.
