Hi Guys

Please help!!! This is EB2 case

Is there ANYONE WHO HAS FILED AR-11 before geting plastic card and after getting passport stamped?

I am silentvisitor of this forum.
I got my passport stamped from Cleveland, OH(NSC) last week.

My company is moving me to NJ next week which is in VSC.
What will happen to my plastic card. Will it be Forwarded to my new address thro USPS if I give them my FW address
OR I need to file AR-11? Will my case be transferred to VSC then OR will NSC FW my plastic card to NJ?
Since I just got my approval, if I file my AR-11 just after 14 days of approval, will my GC not be in jeopardy?

Thanks in advance....

Not sure what the right answer is but this is what i would do:
* File AR-11 with NSC since they processed your case.
* 1 Week after filing AR-11 call BCIs and make sure they have received it
* Also have a postal forwarding address (but this will more than likely not work since it is a immigration document)

you can go to the post office and ask them to hold your mail so that you can go there an collect it in person, daily.

One can try that too but general rule of thumb is that any govt/ immig document cannot be forwarded or held. Hence they bounce back to the authorities who mailed such a document.

This is something that happened with a friend of mine when he applied for h-1b, then changed residence, intimated ins and post but the h-1b approval bounced back and he he to call ins to get another one issued to the new addres which took another month.

So i think the best bet is to file AR-11 and then in a week or two follow up with a phone call to the ins to confirm the address change. And also check with local ins office!
