Address Change and VSC

Hi
I did concurent filing in 2003. Then I moved to another state, but still in VSC jurisdiction.

How can I make sure that BCIS update the address on my cases? So that further notices can be send to my new address?

1. Fill form AR-11.
http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/ar-11.htm

and send thru certified mail on:

U.S Department of Homeland Security
Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration
Change of Address
PO Box 7134
London, KY 40742-7134

You should get a receipt confirmation(ideally).

2. Call customer service after 2 weeks of sending AR-11 form at 1-800-375-5283 and confirm that address is changed.

Call Customer Service and Request them for a change and also fill the form(AR 11, I guess, double check it again) and send it through certified mail.

I also see that they are asking for Copy Number from Alien Card in AR-11
What is Copy Number from Alien Card ?

That is your A#, if you have filed 140/485. Check your Notice of 140/485/EAD/AP - it should be of the format: 99 999 999 (if all the documents do not contain same A# then it is an issue).

For any immigration form, if there is 9 spaces append this number with a 0 like:
099 999 999. Here any format will do.

Another quick question.
My wife (my dependent on 485 petition) is working on EAD on 1099. Should she also mention the name of her employer in her AR-11 form or should she leave it blank?

dude, I know female dragons are not exempt!
On a serious note, should she(my dependent on 485) provide the name of her employer(even though she is working on a 3 month contract on 1099) in her AR-11 form

The question is not whether she should submit AR-11, but whether she should provide her employer information

Doesn't matter what her status is or how she is getting GC or if she is working on 1099. She should submit her employer info, if any - holding any information back intentionally can lead to trouble with DHS, if they want to get nasty. I think there is a law which makes it a deportable crime if any information is held back intentionally.

If you have baby dragons at home - don't forget to file AR-11 for them too.

Ok Thanks One Lasst question!
I was on H-1B and now on AOS
So I am planning to check Other option on AR-11 and write "AOS"

She was on F-1 till Dec 2003 and now on AOS
So, she is planning to check Other option on AR-11 and write "AOS"

IS it right ?

Thankfully no baby dragons!

Correct.

Wish you get your GC before you get your baby dragon - so that you can explain her peacefully one day how did you fill stupid AR-11 form for her mom so that they both can stay together! ;)
