Yes, LUD could mean that your file has been moved to one officer.
However, many times, we have LUDs simply because our files are moved from one shelf to another shelf by clerks.
So we get at least two LUDS: one for getting in, one for approval. Then we could have couple of LUDs in between.
Having some LUDs may be a good sign, but having too many LUDs yet no approval notice may be bad (you wonder what they are doing, RFE?). You never know, maybe one day you see one LUD, and then the approval notice. Let's hope that.
Don't get too crazy on this thing, as it really is out of our control once our files are sent out. There is no firm thing at USCIS. If by the processing time you still don't hear from them, then you really need to do something (call them, contact congress man, etc).

shankyyy got LUDs on 1/2/08 on I-140 and I-485. My guess is that LUD could be for FP notice, not to an officer. Just guess.
