At my interview a decision could not be made for two reasons:
1. FBI Name Check
2. Officer wanted proof of my student status during my extended trip (had re-entry permit).
The day after my interview I sent in a notarized statement accompanied by a copy of my transcript and diploma. It's been three months and I haven't heard anything back. Does USCIS send a receipt indicating that they have recieved the requested documents?
