Addition of Spouse to CP ...

Hi,

I have filed my Packet 3 with US Embassy, Chennai as Single and have an interview in June. I am getting married before that and would like to add my spouse to the process so that she will get her interview on the same date as mine.How likely is it that she will get it along with me ?. Also, I am sending the following to apply for her :

- DS230 (Part I & II)
- Marriage Certigicate
- Birth Certificates (for both of us)
- A copy of my appointment letter.

Do I need to send anything else for her ?

Has anyone gone through this process ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
If lucky, Same Day, Otherwise wife may be asked to come later (about 2 months)

Hi,

If they have extra visas available that day, they may give for both of you same day. Otherwise they will ask your wife to come later. generally they take 2 months. In this case they may take the P3 fo your wife.

Hi,
 I add a similar situation for Mumbai.
 Steps for your interview:
 1. I added my wife on the DS230 Part 1.i.e. complete a new form for yourself but modifying the following boxes as given in packet 3.
    - Change Box 9 to show u are married 1 time.
    - Add wifes information in Box 14

 2. Take a marriage license.
 
 3. Also complete a DS230 Part1 for your wife separately. The consulate will ask for the marriage license and the DS230 part1 for your wife as well as yourself.
 
  4. Then they will institute a follow to join for your wife.They will not let ( in Mumbai) your wife accompany you for the interview.
 
If you are married, just after interview or P3 posting, you can request consulate for followup case to wife..
