Adding spouse to the GC processing.

My case was recently approved by NVC. I am planning to get married before the interview. I have couple of questions and would appreciate any help.

1. Does my spouse need to change her name in the passport before the interview?

2. I am going to send the DS-230 Part I for my spouse to the consulate. I am expecting interview sometime in Sept. Is it mandatory for a spouse to enter her new name or can she carry on the processing with her maiden name?

It would be better...

if you got each others names entered in your passports-provided you have sufficient time on hand. Your wife is free to use whatever name she chooses- make sure to use the same name consistently.;)
