Add or change employer at PoE TN2

Hi, im considering changing employer at a PoE.

My question is: can I add a new employer instead of changing it?

Is less “risky”?

Im currently on laid off in my original employer.

You can't "change" the employer/sponsor on your current TN. You need a brand new petition, with the new sponsor. If you think you might be rehired by the old employer, simply keep your old TN I-94 and get a second one for the new one. It is quite acceptable to maintain two or more active TNs.

But you do need a new petition for you new employer, regardless.
 
I investigate and apparently there is a lot of people that did that before (changing employer in a PoE with a valid TN visa stamped on the passport).

But anyways, can I have 2 TN visas pasted on my passport?

The problem is that my new employer doesn't want to wait more than a month to hire me. Is there any other alternative?
 
You can certainly go to the border and get a second TN entry stamp (which is different from the consulate visa), stamped in your passport. Because your TN visa is still good, you do not have to go to the consulate. But you need a new I-94 entry stamp (which, again, is different from the consulate visa).
 
So, if I go to the border with my valid TN visa, last I-94 (still valid til 2026), employment letter and my bachelor’s degree diploma, I will be able to have a new I-94 stamp on my visa to start working with my new employer?
