Accepting a Job offer without letting Current Employer know

Hi Folks,
I need a help from the guru's of this forum.
Currently I am working for Company 'A' under H1B and having a long-term job at one-of-their client's place but Pay is somewhat less. Today I got a good offer from Company B with - double the pay what I am getting now.

My question now is - I dont want to let Company 'A' know about this situation (because of fear of losing Long-Term Client job incase if I dont like the new offer )and want to accept company 'B' offer ,go there, work for 2 weeks and if everything is ok, then either I let Company 'A' know about this or if not ok I will resume working for Company 'A' as usual. For 2 weeks, I want to take a vacation with Company A.

Is this possible. Note: My I 140 is approved with Company 'A' and H1B is valid with this company until Feb 2008.

Please reply soon... I need to accept or reject Company B offer anytime now...

1 you need H1 of B to work with B or EAD or H1 transfer filing reciept from B (if use EAD you will not be on H1 status)
if the new job offer is from the A client where you are working then you know the client

if B is not the client where you work then how you plan to work with B? without filing H1 transfer or with EAD?? what if the B is worst than A and A has your I-140 approved and can file I-485 when PD is current. with B you may have to start with new LCand then I-140. you have to make the decision.

Thanks Ginnu for you prompt reply, here is my situation in detail.

I dont want to let B know that I am working for/with 'A', but I will use one of my friend's company to subcontract me with B as B has a project ready for me already after going through the Interview process - only thing left is to accept the offer and give my employer details. My plan here is, not to jeoperdise my current job in case if the new offer does not suit, as they said 3 months project can extend to 6 months or a year, which I will know for sure after going there.

so is it possible to work for a 'B' cleint - subcontract with B using one of my friend's company 'C' without letting 'A' know it, and if everything is as expected bring 'A' into picture and let 'A' deal with my freind's company as appropriate for me and go thorugh the process with out having to flle H1B transfer to company 'C' and using my existing 'A' H1B status.

by the way, I want to take extended sick vacation for 2-3 weeks while I am gone for client project with B if this is at all possible.

My current cleint with 'A' is 'X' and Cleint with B is 'Y'.

I guess you can do that. The law says if you work for another company you must apply for a new H1B. If you don't...I'm not sure what will happen honestly I don't think they will find out, but that's just my opinion, I could be wrong though. Good luck!.
