EAD got approved 05/29/03
I-140 got approved 05/24/03

EAD Renewal Applied 01/24/2004.
RD I-485 04/03/2003.


After the research through the form I found that it is valid to switch jobs (as long as similar duties) after 180 days of I-485 application.

Can you please provide the procedure what needs to be done next.

Assumption company A to company B.

There is no well defined next step. You are expected to inform BCIS of job change and not required to- there is no specified time limit. Different individuals and lawyers do different things and it all seems to work out.

There are some formats in this forum about- cover letter, employer letter etc - dig and use. It is generally your new job description based on approved labor and salary.

Thank you for the response. I'll dig it out abt the cover letter.
This is what I understood.

I need to send the new employer's cover letter to BCIS (I hope I'll find the address also).

BTW, I've corrected the RD also : 04/03/2003.

a. I have swithed the job a month ago. I have not send the AC 21 notification. I'm thinking of sending the employment verification letter w/ Salary with two pay checks. Please advise related.

b. My current EAD is getting expired in May 2004. I had applied for renewal while I'm with old employer. Right now, I do not have the original I-485 notice (I do have xerox copy). Do I need to take the original when I goto BCIS office local(If I don't receive the EAD renewal by that time)?

c. For RFE or anything does the BCIS will inform me or the attorney who had applied GC? How does it works?

d. Do I still need to have support from Attorney? He might ask for $1000.00 to support the rest.

e. I'm changing the home address on April 20th. How does this affects the GC processing?
