AC21 Question

When we change job using AC21, I assume we will be having an EAD .For some reason if the 485 were to be denied, what would our status be ?.
Pls comment (I think I am missing something in the law here)

so does that mean all people who used ac21 took a risk (small though) OR they always kept their H1 valid. would the H1 become invalid too if 485 were denied.
 
You are always taking risks in GC processing. Your I-485 can be denied no matter if you use AC21 or not. Also many people keep H-1 status just in case their GC is denied. No it does not inactivate your H-1.
