Hi Gurus,

I have 485 pending for more than year, and 140 approved in March 2006 and on 2nd EAD. Now i am planning to change the company using EAD and shall invoke AC21.

New employer is NOT ready to render the legal services to me due to cost constraints, but asked me to use the exisiting lawyer(from the current employer) for the GC processing.

Does this cause any problems till GC process is completed ?

Thanks,
Jack

Some lawyer have an agrrement with employers. If your lawyer does not have the problem then ther should not any issue. Infact it is good.

----- Why the new employer hire lawyer for you? I-485 belongs to YOU and dont you hire YOUR Lawyer so that any fingerprint notice or if any RFE it comes to him. if you want you can send AC21 documents without any lawyer. Better not to use past company lawyer

-It does not cause any problems for GC but past comany lawyer is working for your past company he/she is more intrested in company than you. if you dont change all reciepts or any RFE , FP notice will come to him.
Thanks,
Jack

** I will hire my lawyer and sign G28 with him so that he can represent me.

Ginnu and number30,

Thanks a lot for the response.

Ginnu,

I have very good relationship with my old employer(its a small consulting company) , so i don't see any issues with that. I have already discussed with old employer.

Regarding FP, RFE, Notice , all these are coming to my address since the beginning of GC process.

to apply for AC21, do we have a format which i can use ? If it doesn't require lawyer, i would prefer doing it myself.

Jack.
