AC21 for same employer??

Hi,
I joined company A in city X in May 2000. My GC was filed and now it is at I-485 stage. (receipt date Jun 21st 2002).
In the meantime I was interviewed for another job in the SAME Company A at a different location Y.
My company lawyer wanted my new manager to submit the new job description..
The lawyer did notlike the new description given by my new manager in city Y. She says if I am to accept the new position, a whole new process has to be started..
My question is (a) has anyone been there before
(b) since it is the same company (NOT a company bought over by company A or anything like that), does the BCIS even need to know?
(c) is there any way I can convince the lawyer to just back off?

Please let me know asap...

Typically BCIS will not enquire what is your new job description- if you continue in the same company. So I would think you should just ask the lawyer to back off.
