AC21 dilemma.

Hello Friends,

First of all I would like to thank everyone for making this site so helpful.

Recently I changed my job, my job mentioned in LC is Programmer Analyst and new job is Business Analyst. My new employer is not ready to give me detailed employer letter, the employer letter they provided me just has a job title, salary, start date etc etc and not a job description. My questions to all of you are-

1. Is there going to be a problem as the job titles are different if I send them a employer letter with minimal description.

2. I am confident that my old employer is not going to cancel my 1-140 but still I am not sure. In that case is it necessary for me notify the INS about my job change. Is it possible to get I-485 approved without notifying.

Friends I would really appreciate if you respond to my thread.

Thanks.

If the job title is similar enough, then there shouldn't be a problem. If USCIS isn't satisfied, they'll ask for more. I would feel a little better with a description (even basic) if you can, unless the job title is self-explanatory like "Java/C Developer".

If the I-140 is canceled then USCIS will get involved and send you an NOID. At that point you must notify them about your new job change within 30 days, or your I-485 is toast.
