This morning my wife and I went to interview. The whole interview process went on very smoothly. The immigration office, a very nice lady, approved our cases and got our finger prints done and passport stamped. The interview took 30 minutes and passport stamp took 1.5 hour. More detailed information on my case:

PD: 09/98; ND: 11/00 (EB2)
REF:04/01; REF Reply: 05/01
Case transfer: 05/01 (From Vermont to Tucson, AZ)
Interview Notice Received: 08/22/01
Interview Date: 09/20/01
Quit My First Job: 08/00

This board is so helpful and I am so grateful that so many people shared their information. I have been surfing the board for more than 5 years. I have two colleagues whose cases are nearly same as mine (AC21 related) they got their approval ahead of me. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting for approval. Thank you everyone!

Congratulations !!! Could you answer our questions

What is I-485 RD? Did you change job before 180 days or after?
Did you inform INS about your job change?
Were you on same job title/salary?
What exactly interviewer asked you?

Thanks,

Yours answers

I didn\'t inform INS my job change. The reference was for employment letter and latest 3 pay stub and 2000 W-2, that\'s all can remember.

Wish you luck!

My I-485 RD is 09/16/99. I changed job after 180 days and even before President Clinton signed AC21. Since I quit 1st job that early I didn\'t know what to do. INS asked me to do the finger print March, 2001 and then they issued REF on 04/15/01. My job title is exactly same as before and salary is higher than before. The immigration office was so nice, she just verify all information, such as birth date, social security #, marrige date, your parents-in-law\'s names, your spouse\'s birthday, your current nom-immigration status, your job title, your kids (I have two kids born here so they asked for birth certificates of the kids), how did you come to this county and etc.

Hope above information be helpful. Good luck!
