AC21 Attorney Confusion

I am sure there are other folks who might have asked this (and gotten replies as well) ...

Background:

I filed my I-485 through Compnay A's attorney. I then moved to Company B utilizing the AC21. Company B's attorney sent in my forms for EAD/AP renewals to USCIS.

Question:

Why do all attorney copies (or courtesy copies) from USCIS go to Company A's attorney ? Is that normal ?

Any information would be appreciated !

Cheers !

Hariyaali,

All the stuff should be coming to your new Attorney for Company B. Ask your attorney to resend the form G-28 for all the pending cases like 485/765/131.

-----company B attorney did ONLY file EAD AP for you with USCIS, he or you did NOT file Form G28 that attorney of B will represent you lawyer of B was supposed to send form G28(signed by you) at the time of EAD AP filing. you need to discuss with lawyer of B and send new G28 form to USCIS so that attorney record to represent you is updated with USCIS with Form G28 attach all the reciept copies of any pending petitions with USCIS. once USCIS gets G28 from B lawyer all copies will come to B after you file newG28.
Any information would be appreciated !

Hariyaali,

G28 is for indiavidual cases, You have to ask you new attorney to send new G-28 for all of your cases again. and only then INS will send the response to new attorney.....

Thanks !

After reading all replies, I feel more knowledgeable about what I need to do.

Some attorneys have a knack of being able to confuse you with legal jargon and I guess that was what I encountered.

Thank you for your responses !

Cheers !
